Morpheus8 is a skin-tightening treatment that combines microneedling with fractional radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production, kickstart the body’s natural healing process, and improve the overall skin texture and tone on both the face and body. Am I a Good Candidate for Morpheus8 for Face & Body?
Most patients make good candidates for Morpheus8, especially if they are struggling with uneven skin tone and texture, signs of aging, stretch marks, and enlarged pores. You may want to avoid it if you have an active breakout or infection in the treatment area or if you have a tendency towards keloid scars.
How to Prepare for Morpheus8 for Face & Body
To prepare for your Morpheus8 treatment, in the days before your procedure, you’ll want to avoid excess sun exposure, drink plenty of water, stop using retinols and certain harsh exfoliating products, avoid shaving for 48 hours prior and avoid blood thinners. We also recommend coming to your appointment makeup-free and with completely clean skin.
The Morpheus8 Procedure
Morpheus8 treatment is relatively straightforward. To begin, we’ll cleanse the treatment area. Next, we will customize the settings on the device to your unique needs. From there, using the Morpheus8 device, tiny needles will make micro-punctures in the skin while radiofrequency energy is simultaneously delivered to the treatment area. The micro-injuries and the RF energy will stimulate collagen production and trigger the body’s natural healing response. How long your treatment takes will depend on the size of the treatment area and the results you’re looking for. It typically 1- 2 hours to complete.

Recovery After Morpheus8 Treatment
After your Morpheus8 treatment, there is very minimal downtime. You will likely notice some redness, swelling, and bruising, but these side effects will dissipate within a few days. It takes about 1-2 days for the microneedle holes to close up, allowing you to wear makeup again. You will want to avoid direct sun exposure until skin has healed completely. You’ll also need to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
While you may notice some results immediately, it can take a few weeks to see the full results as the collagen and elastin build up in the skin. These results can last for a year or more, but maintenance treatments are needed to keep up your results.
